GAPDH

Glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase UniProt accession Q5XJ10

Catalyzes the conversion of D-glyceraldehyde 3-phosphate (G3P) into 3-phospho-D-glyceroyl phosphate in glycolysis and the reverse reaction in gluconeogenesis. Also shows nitrosylase activity, thereby playing a role in nuclear functions (By similarity). Participates in nuclear events including transcription, RNA transport, DNA replication and apoptosis.

Nuclear functions are probably due to the nitrosylase activity that mediates cysteine S-nitrosylation of nuclear target proteins such as SIRT1, HDAC2 and PRKDC (By similarity)

Synthetic Lethal Network

Genes with an experimentally identified or computationally predicted synthetic-lethal relationship to GAPDH, aggregated across our SSL data sources. Click any partner node to view that gene’s page.

Nodes and edges are coloured by the SSL data source. Partners appearing in more than one source are shown in grey.
